Nutrition & Weight Management

Just like people a well balanced and nutritious diet is essential for a happy and healthy pet. Looking at your pet's nutrition is a part of your regular consultation and a great way to prevent many more serious complications such as diabetes & joint problems.

Your pets diet is so important that it can often be the solution for issues that commonly arise such as:

Radiography

Allowing us to quickly diagnose your pet our radiography services can help identify many concerns in order to provide the right treatment without delay. Common radiography diagnoses include:

Dental Care

Your pets teeth need to be cared for just like your own and a trip to the Vet once a year is the best way to ensure they're in tip top shape. Poorly cared for teeth and gums can cause your pets to have annoying things like bad breath but also more serious issues like pain and discomfort when eating and organ damage from the nasty toxins that bad oral care produces. A dental check is part of your regular consultation and any dental treatment required will be determined at this time.

AQIS Accreditation

If you're moving overseas for just a few years or permanently you can take your pets with you in most cases. Every country has different requirements that we have to meet to ensure it's hassle free.

Dr John Thirlwell is APAV (Accreditation Program for Australian Veterinarians) and AQIS (Australian Quarantine Inspection Service) accredited to enable us to prepare your travelling pets with any tests, vaccines or other treatments they may require.
